ATELIER ESSENCEのアトリエは、高知県の自然豊かな場所にあります。

日本の植物学の父である牧野富太郎博士の業績を顕彰するために開園された牧野植物園のすぐ近くにある調香室は、今日も150種以上の天然精油の香りに満ちあふれています。

調香室からほど近い森を歩いていると、光と影、頬にふれる風、自然の織りなす音や香りに季節の移ろいを感じます。

私たちは自然のサイクルに身を委ねることで、本来の自分へと立ち返り

日々のインスピレーションを受け取っているのかもしれません。

「ESSENCE」とは、精油、そして本質という意味。
香りという目には見えないアートを通して、植物の大切な響きを表現しています。
 

ATELIER ESSENCE is a small atelier nestled in the rich natural landscape of Kochi, Japan.

Located near the Makino Botanical Garden, established to honor Dr. Tomitaro Makino, the father of Japanese botany, the studio is filled with the fragrances of more than 150 natural essential oils.

Walking through the nearby forest, I encounter the changing seasons through light and shadow, the touch of the wind, and the subtle sounds and scents woven by nature.

By surrendering to the rhythms of the natural world, I return to my true self and receive inspiration for my work each day.

ESSENCE refers both to essential oils and to one's true essence.

Through the invisible art of fragrance, I express the subtle resonance of plants.
